I’m a freelance graphic designer and illustrator from the North East of Scotland.
I create playful and engaging visuals for a wide range of clients and contexts, including branding, education, and entertainment. My work is often inspired by my personal experiences - from growing up in Aberdeen to now living and working in the Aberdeenshire countryside - reflecting my dedication to the local creative community. I am passionate about exploring new processes and disciplines while creating work that is both meaningful and visually compelling.
However, I took an unconventional path to get here… I returned to Gray’s School of Art as a mature student in my 30s which together with being a Mum of two boys, and a previous career in the legal sector has provided me with a hugely broad perspective.
Further experience as a Graphic Design Lead in the corporate energy sector gave me valuable insights into marketing and corporate branding, but it also reinforced my commitment to a more diverse, creative practice. To broaden my knowledge, I’ve undertaken further studies in Digital Marketing and Influencer Marketing.
And now, here I am! In addition to my freelance work, I am a style advisor at a high street boutique and a Graduate in Residence at Gray’s School of Art which allows me to remain connected to the Art School and the design community in the city. I’m thoroughly enjoying the balance, diversity of clients and different creative outlets. It’s all very exciting!
